Good connections go beyond the screen

October 1, 2026

As technology continues to shape our future, connecting people also means helping the next generation navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.

Screens are part of everyday life. Especially for young people. They offer endless opportunities to learn, create, connect and have fun. But the digital world also comes with some risks and concerns: cyberbullying, excessive screen time, violence, fake news and inappropriate content. That’s why we believe being connected also means learning how to stay safe, healthy and responsible online.

That belief comes to life through #ForGoodConnections, Orange Group’s programme dedicated to raising awareness among families in today’s hyperconnected digital world. On September 27th, Orange Belgium brought that commitment to life in a fun and engaging way with a free family #ForGoodConnections Day dedicated to young people aged 11 to 15, football and good online habits — an event that quickly filled up, with places fully booked.

Around 250 teenagers and their families joined us at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Neder-Over-Heembeek for a day packed with games, football workshops and interactive activities. They could meet and greet former Red Devil Jan Vertonghen, Red Flame Imke Courtois, and rower Ward Lemmelijn, and even challenge the players from Union Saint-Gilloise to a football match.

“At Orange, our core business is connectivity. But beyond providing services, we also have a responsibility towards society. One in four young people aged 12 to 17 is a victim of cyberbullying, which is an alarming figure. Our goal is to support responsible screen usage, educate, and raise awareness so that technology serves the greater good.“

Marie Adriansen, ESG Manager

Along the way, participants discovered simple and practical tips to recognise and avoid the pitfalls of the internet, from cyberbullying and fake news to spending too much time behind a screen, without the hassle. They could even turn their activities into rewards, collecting points on their personal card to unlock exclusive Orange goodies. Because raising awareness doesn’t have to feel like a lesson. The best way to learn is by playing, sharing experiences and having fun together.

And that’s why we’re proud to be a part of Orange.

Our ambition is to be the trusted partner that creates an inclusive and caring environment where everyone can reach their full potential, both within Orange and beyond. Through #ForGoodConnections, we’re helping young people build a healthier relationship with the digital world and giving families the tools to navigate it with confidence — making it safer, more respectful and ensuring everyone feels heard.

“As a mother of three boys, this event truly speaks to me. I see firsthand how much the digital world is a part of their lives and how it influences their behaviour, learning, and social interactions."

Marie Adriansen, ESG Manager

Would you like to be part of a team that puts technology at the service of people to build a more inclusive digital future?
