Hello You: Meet Céline Empowering careers through knowledge

March 5, 2025

As part of the "Hello You" series, we’re handing the mic to colleagues across Orange Belgium—giving them the space to share their journeys, challenges, and the impact they make every day. This series highlights the people behind the innovation, the problem-solvers, and the driving forces shaping Orange Belgium.

Learning without limits

Céline Parzibut is one of those voices. With a background in languages and pedagogy, she never expected to step into the tech world. But curiosity led her here, and it didn’t take long before she found her footing. Today, as Education & Knowledge Manager, she’s the driving force behind Orange Belgium’s training programs, ensuring teams have the knowledge and skills to excel. From onboarding new employees to designing technical training, she’s making sure Orange Belgium’s team members are ready for the challenges of today—and tomorrow.

Building knowledge to shape careers

There’s no standard telecom training in the Belgian education system. Technicians and field agents learn on the job, but Céline saw an opportunity to take that to the next level. Her team creates high-quality training and certification programs to equip Orange’s technical teams with the expertise they need. And it’s not just the technicians who benefit. Whether in marketing, HR, or IT, every team at Orange has access to learning programs tailored to their needs. "Learning isn’t just about gaining knowledge—it’s about feeling confident and prepared to take on challenges," she explains. "We make sure that everyone, from new recruits to experienced professionals, has the right tools to grow."

From theory to hands-on expertise

Training at Orange Belgium isn’t about classrooms, books and theory. New technicians go through an intensive 12-day program where they don’t just learn about their job, they learn how to do it the Orange way. Processes, tools, best practices—everything is hands-on, so they step into the field feeling ready.

It goes beyond offering trainings. Céline’s team also develops ongoing training programs to help employees deepen their understanding of Orange’s technology, whether they’re working directly with networks or simply want to know more about how it all connects. "We make sure knowledge is accessible to everyone. It’s not just about the technical teams—it’s about bringing the whole company along."

She’s a firm believer that tech isn’t just for those with a technical degree. "I don’t have a technical  background, and that’s never been a barrier," she says. "If you’re curious, if you’re willing to learn, there’s always a way forward. No one starts out knowing everything—it’s about how you grow."

A role that keeps evolving

What started as a role focused on training French-speaking technicians has expanded into something much bigger. Because today, Céline works on a national level, developing training across the entire company. Her career has grown alongside her ambitions, and she’s seen firsthand how Orange Belgium encourages that kind of mobility. "Here, if you want to evolve, you have opportunities here. You can switch roles—there’s always room to take on new challenges."

Working in tech isn’t without struggles when you have a different background, but for Céline, the key is focusing on solutions instead of obstacles. "Challenges will always come up, but it’s about how you approach them. Orange gives us the space to collaborate, share ideas, and push for real change."

One of those initiatives is the Women in Tech network, where team members  have brainstorm sessions to see what programs can be put in place to  support women in technology careers. "This isn’t a symbolic initiative—it’s a space where we take action," she says. "We’re making tech careers more accessible and breaking down barriers.”

A workplace where ideas take flight

With so many teams and projects in motion, every day brings something different—and that’s exactly what Céline loves about working here. "I’m constantly interacting with different teams, exchanging ideas, and finding new ways to improve how we work. There’s never a dull moment."

Orange’s culture of feedback and innovation is what keeps that momentum going. "Here, we don’t just do things because ‘that’s how they’ve always been done.’ We challenge ourselves to find better ways, and leadership encourages that mindset."

Right now, Céline is testing a new digital knowledge-sharing platform to make information more accessible to field technicians. Instead of calling a coach or searching through manuals, they’ll have instant access to short instructional videos and visuals—giving them the support they need, right when they need it. "This all started with an idea," she says. "I felt a need, proposed a solution, and now I’m running a real test. That’s what I love about Orange Belgium. If you have a solid idea, you get the chance to bring it to life."

Words to live by

"If there’s one piece of advice I’d give to anyone, it’s this: stay curious, ask questions, and never be afraid to admit when you don’t know something. Growth comes from taking that first step." Céline believes that tech is about knowing how to find the answers. Whether it’s stepping into a new role, picking up new skills, or adapting to change, progress happens when you push yourself beyond what you already know.

"If you want to work in tech, trust yourself. You don’t need all the answers on day one. The most important thing is having the right mindset: be open to learn, embrace challenges, and keep moving forward. Orange Belgium gives you the space to do so—and that’s what makes it such an exciting place to be."
