Orange went back to school
1 September 2021
Why did you want to participate in this project?
Claudio: “Well, to be honest … I wasn’t the most disciplined student myself. Let’s say that I used to have a lot of energy ;-). That is why I think it is very meaningful to be able to give these teenagers the same opportunities as I got myself when I was younger.”
Véronique: “I find it so exciting to share the things I learned at Orange. And I just love helping people, especially children. So I really didn’t have to think twice when I heard about this opportunity.”

What have you learned from this experience?
Claudio: “In any group of people, there will be different levels of knowledge and understanding. Adults have learned to hide this, but with children, these differences become very clear. I learned that you should always aim to communicate in a way that is understood by as many people in your group as possible.”
Véronique: “I was amazed by the creativity of these teenagers, very inspiring. Besides that, I learned that teaching is not to be underestimated. Grabbing everyone’s attention is definitely not easy. I have enormous respect for teachers!”

What would you like to tell your colleagues about this initiative?
Claudio: “Listen guys, if you want good karma, you have to give something back from time to time! No … I’m just joking. I would say that I really loved being around these children and seeing that they are just as excited about IT as I am myself.”
Véronique: “It felt great to share experiences with vulnerable teenagers. If I were you, I would definitely take part in this project!”
Thank you Claudio and Véronique for sharing your thoughts! And thank you Thomas, Boris, Claire, Yanouk, Hanane, Chima, Juliette and Capucine for participating as well. We’re so proud you grabbed the chance to expose your talent in a meaningful way. Stay tuned for more opportunities and inspiring stories in the future!
What's TADA?
TADA is short for ToekomstAtelierdelAvenir, a non-profit organization that supports the integration and emancipation of more than 1,500 socially vulnerable teenagers in Brussels. It helps these teenagers through a network that intensively coaches them for many years. During weekend schools, they get the chance to learn from inspiring professionals from different areas, such as judges, nurses, mechanics … or IT experts like us!
