Orange raises money for cancer in the Corporate Cup!
On April 21, a team of five Orange employees headed to Vorst to participate in the Gamers Care - Corporate Cup. This inter-company esports tournament is an initiative to raise money for Kom op tegen Kanker, a non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against cancer. Our talented employees competed against teams from Audi, FACQ, Verhulst Media, Porsche, House of HR and META. All 8 teams battled it out against each other in 5 different gaming challenges. The goal? Be on top of the leaderboard at the end of the day, by getting a high score in each challenge.
Even though the ultimate objective was to have fun and raise money for Kom op tegen Kanker, we counted on our Orange team to give it their all. And they certainly put their best foot forward! Here are some photos of our professional gamers in full action and an overview of the various challenges:

VR beat saber - Rhythm and great hand-eye coordination proved to be essential for this challenge.

E-cycling - We made our fittest team member sweat in the e-cycling race!
In the end, our team finished in 6th place! But what we will remember most of all is how - thanks in part to Orange - the Corporate Cup raised €35.000. The entire Gamers Care Campaign (with the Corporate Cup as a factor) ultimately raised over €60.000+! A great achievement, accomplished by even greater people.

Orange connects through the radio network during the end-of-year period
The festive season is the perfect time to connect — with loved ones and with colleagues. That’s why, on 18 December, we hosted a cosy radio show packed with great music and fun surprises. Flemish host Dorien Leyers and her Walloon colleague David Antoine joined us at our HQ to create warm vibes during the Orange Radio broadcast. And our colleagues? They naturally added plenty of atmosphere and good cheer.
