Proud to present the Orange Award
20 October 2023
On 11 October 2023, we had the privilege of presenting the EPB Orange Award. This prestigious prize is awarded to the student with the highest average grade on the Electrical Engineering master's programme at the Brussels Faculty of Engineering (BruFace), a joint faculty of the VUB and ULB. While naturally honouring the winner, the Orange Award also serves to highlight Orange's commitment to supporting education in telecommunications.

A worthy prize for outstanding performance
While Wednesday 11 October not only proved a special day for Orange, the same could be said for Adeline Wantiez, the student who went on to pick up the prestigious Orange Award! Adeline achieved an incredibly impressive average grade of 18.75 out of 20, making her a more than deserved winner! Alongside the beautiful trophy, Adeline also went home with a cash prize.
Working together to support education
The Orange Award is part of the close partnership between Orange Belgium and the EPB, the VUB’s dedicated faculty of applied sciences. The aim of this partnership is to support telecommunications education within the civil engineering programme. With the Orange Award, we pay tribute not only to outstanding student achievements, but also to this fruitful partnership. It is something we are incredibly proud of.
A celebration and networking drinks
It was Thomas Parvais, Director of Fixed Broadband Access & TV Services at Orange, who had the honour of presenting Adeline with the Orange Award. Thomas' participation underlines just how important we at Orange believe it is to support young talent in telecommunications.
The ceremony was held at Brussels’ stunning Atelier des Tanneurs. After the prize giving, we all shared a drink to toast Adeline's achievements, while also getting the chance to network with other attendees.
